Krupa – Marion R., 90, Irwin, PA, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2024. Born on July 16, 1933 in Johnstown, daughter of John Sr. and Mary (Lousin) Znidarsic. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas E. Krupa Sr.; son, Thomas E. Krupa Jr.; brothers, Theodore, William, Frank, Joseph, and John, and sister, Josephine.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Laura (Dezi) Danko, Irwin, PA; son, Adam Krupa, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren., Nicholas Krupa, Cleveland, OH, Sarah (Alex) Parlock, Huntington, WV, and Michael Danko, Golden, CO; great-grandsons, Aiden Parlock, and Baby Boy Parlock; sister, Alice Eritano, Southgate, MI, and several nieces and nephews.
Marion was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermanie, PA. Marion was employed at Ames Department Store. She enjoyed her Slovenian music, Polkas, and loved dancing with her husband in Slovenian dance groups. Marion also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing the organ. Marion’s family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Walden’s View Memory Care in North Huntingdon and Via Quest Hospice for the wonderful care that was given to our mom.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of Parastas at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Dr. Robert F. Oravetz. Committal will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in memory of Marion.
