In Loving Memory of Hines Christmas Weir

Early in the morning on September 13, 2026, our beloved Hines left us to run free in Heaven. He was surrounded by his family Adam, Krissy, Maddy, Cassy, Eva, and Sully during his final days and moments.

Hines Christmas Weir came into the world on Christmas Eve in 2010 and officially joined the Weir family on February 27, 2011. From the moment we met him, he brought our family an immeasurable amount of joy, love, and companionship. We became part of his pack, and he spent his days proudly protecting us from his throne on the back of the loveseat.

Hines loved his home and had a special way of making friends with everyone he met. Whether he was running with the bunnies outside, sneaking down to the neighbor’s garden, or playing with his friend Louie, Hines always found a way to make life a little more joyful.

He was happiest in nature, where he seemed completely at peace. He loved long walks in Stackhouse, quiet mornings on the porch with Dad, playing in the snow, and frolicking at The Hemlock House.

Hines was an independent dog who showed his love in his own special way. His favorite time of day was after dinner, when he could curl up on the couch with Mom. He loved begging for whatever treats he could get, especially pepperoni and cheese.

One of the most special things about Hines was the way he made everyone feel cherished. He would greet you at the door with a wagging tail and plenty of kisses, whether it had been five minutes since he last saw you or three months.

For 15 wonderful years, Hines was there for all of us as we experienced the big moments in our lives from dances and graduations to college and every other day worth celebrating. In return, he gave us the precious gift of loving him through all the small, yet significant, moments of his life.

Now, you get to run and play with Stitch and Garcia again.

We will miss you more than words can express, Hines Christmas. You never liked goodbyes, so we won’t say goodbye.

We’ll see you soon.
