Mildred I. Dietz

Dietz, Mildred I., “Mid”, 89, of Franklin Borough, went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1933 in Rising Sun, MD. Daughter of Ornan and Margaret M. (Schilling) Preston. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, William J, “Bill” Dietz; infant son, Roger; son, Rodney; siblings, Donald, Howard, Eleanor Foots, Thomas Roberts, Dennis Preston, Norma Jean Wojtowicz.

She is survived by her loving children, Robin R., married to the former Susan Barbus, East Conemaugh Borough and Nancy L. Dietz, Franklin Borough; daughter-in-law, Denise Dietz, Brownstown; grandchildren, Rebecca (Joe) Tallari, Johnstown, Derek Dietz, Tanneryville, Megan (Chad) Tessari, Johnstown, Jocelyn (Bill) Savering, East Conemaugh; great grandchildren, Rylei, Katie Dietz, and Abbie Savering, Olivia and Alaina Tallari and Brycen and Delaney Tessari; great-great grandson, Keynan Dietz; sister, Susan Beth, wife of James Delaney, Dubois, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed dancing, needlepointing, country music, and pitching horse shoes. Mildred loved spending time with her entire family.

Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Monday and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. Tuesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Rev. Nancy Hoover officiating.
