VARNER---Margaret C., 91, Mineral Point, was called home to be with The Lord, June 16, 2024 at home. Born October 30, 1932, in Summerhill, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Gurchik) Homza. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jim Varner; brother, Joseph Homza; and sister, Mary Fetchkan; grandsons, Corey Varner and Nicholas Varner. Survived by children, James Varner (Robin), Mineral Point; Jeff Varner (Bernice), Portage; Patty Johnson (Tim), Mineral Point and Kevin Varner (Sandy), Mineral Point; also survived by grandchildren, Keith Varner, Jeffrey Varner (Sunika), Carrie Varner, Erica Dyda, Brittany Brydon (Denver), Ryan Johnson (Melinda), Nathan Balko (Dina), Katherine Curcio (Louis), Travis Varner and Olivia Varner; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Logan, Ella, Carra, Maksim, Zack, Louis, Elliot, Mila, Boone, Lila, Asher, Cole. Sister of John Homza. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Margaret worked for 27 years at Fashion Bug. She was an immaculate housekeeper and an excellent cook and her family was always her top priority. She was a member of the Conemaugh Church of the Brethren. Honoring Margaret’s wishes, there will not be a viewing or funeral service. Committal, Varner Family Cemetery. The family is being served by Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh.
