HORNE - Genny L., born on May 30, 1965, in Johnstown, PA, passed away on May 29, 2024, just one day before her 59th birthday. Genny was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. Genny was known for her infectious laugh, her ability to tackle anything put in front of her, for always putting others ahead of herself and most importantly, her unfailing faith in Jesus Christ. Her faith provided strength and comfort to her and her family throughout her life. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, Genny dedicated her life to her family. She loved spending time with her friends and small group ladies and was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Genny shared a beautiful life with and is also survived by her husband, Dr. David R. Horne. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Dr. Travis Horne (Lili Chan), Richelle Azcue (Jeremy Azcue), Dr. Dylan Horne (Kelsey Horne), and Garrett Horne (Destinee Horne). Genny’s legacy lives on through her five cherished grandchildren: Asher, Aiden, Anistyn, Adelina, and Harlan. She is also survived by her parents, Van and Shirley Hoffman, and her brother, Kai Hoffman. The family extends their deepest gratitude to friends and extended family for their unwavering support and love during this time. Genny will be profoundly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Visitation Monday June 3, from 3 to 7 pm at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Service at 11 am Tuesday at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Pastor Jim Gay, officiating. Interment in North Cross section of Richland Cemetery.
