David F. Christner

CHRISTNER---David F., 79, Woodvale, passed away on August 2, 2024. Born May 12, 1945 in Johnstown, son of Ethel Christner. Preceded in death by mother, infant son, Christopher; sisters, Jean Martin, Delores Cisman, Janet North and Nancy Vickroy. Survived by wife of 57 years, Louise (Kelley), children, Kelly and Louis; grandchildren, Jared and wife, Brittany; Abigail and fiance, Adam Rucosky and loving companion, Scarlett. Brother of Michael Christner and wife, Pam; Harriet “Tootsie” and husband, Richard Mirilovich and Robert Christner. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Davd graduated from Johnstown High School in 1964. He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 30 years of service. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and times spent with his grandchildren. He especially loved time with his family and friends on holidays and at picnics at his home. At David’s request, there will be no viewing, visitation or service.
