Frank L. Gay Sr.

Gay Sr. – Frank L, 78, Vinco, is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior. He passed away on December 31, 2021 with his family at his side. Born on May 18, 1943 in Greenville, PA, son of Paul Gay and Twila (Scaife) Davis. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn (Gutteridge) Gay; granddaughter, Taylor Sand, and brother, Gary Gay. He is survived by his loving children, Tammy L. (Francis L.) Sral, Vinco and Frank L. Jr. (Erin), Lewisberry, PA; grandchildren, Trinity “Scooter” Sral, Spencer and Mackenzi “Dolly” Gay, Ashley Gensemer, Anderson and Aiden “Mike” French; brothers, George (Violet) Kimmel, Alvin (Cheryl) Kimmel, Danny (Betty) Kimmel, and Leonard Davis, all of CA. Also survived by special cousins and best friends, Homer and Woodrow Gay, as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank was a graduate of Conemaugh High School. He retired in 1992 from Bethlehem Steel and was also owner/operator of F.L. Gay Excavating. Frank was a member of Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church, Revloc. He enjoyed playing his guitar, hunting, fishing, and golfing. Our dad was the kindest human being, who always was a gentleman and lived his life for Jesus. Frank’s journey in his lifetime was to share Jesus with everyone and to tell them what a wonderful Savior he served. His faith in God was unshakable. He was a dedicated husband, who loved his wife so passionately and has missed her greatly since her death in 2015. They are now reunited in heaven. Frank was the absolutely best dad and pappy to his children and grandchildren. We all knew and felt his love daily. He will be sadly missed. Family and friends will be received from 5 p.m. until the celebration of life service begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 7th, at Lakeside Community Church, Ebensburg, PA. Pastors Cliff Richey and Rob Osborn will be officiating. Private burial will be held at Headricks Union Cemetery. The family is being served by the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh.
