Gindlesperger – Wilma J., 99, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2020 at St. Jude’s Haven. Born on June 1, 1920 in Hollsopple, daughter of James and Fannie (Thomas) Smith. Preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, William A. Krouse; 2nd husband, Lloyd V. Gindlesperger; great granddaughter, Kayleigh Tallyen; great grandson, Daniel Trevorrow; sisters, Ida Shaffer, Clara Reed, Viola Hershberger, Emma Smith, Alberta Berkebile, Martha Ashbrook; brothers, Miles “Jake”, Edward, James, and an infant brother, and son-in-law, Stanley R. Tallyen. She is survived by her loving daughters, Beverly A. Tallyen, Richland Township and Carol J.(Jospeh) Lampel, Johnstown; grandchildren, Tracey (Keith) Onderko, Johnstown, Joe “Bud” Lampel, NC, Lori Morningstar, Johnstown, Tina Trevorrow, Johnstown, and Doug (Lori) Tallyen, Hooversville; great grandchildren, Kara Morningstar, Elizabeth Paserba, and Ryan Onderko; great-great grandson, Draven Kmett, and several nieces and nephews. Wilma was employed at Richland School District for several years working in the cafeteria. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed quilting with her lady friends. Wilma enjoyed working in her flower garden and vacationing with her family at their cottage along the Juniata River. Her family would like to thank all the staff at St. Jude’s Haven and Windber Hospice for their kind and loving care. Due to current health conditions, there will be no public viewing. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Scott Klimke. Private burial will be at Custer Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to either Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Avenue, Windber, PA 15963 or to St. Jude’s Haven, 1072 Mt Airy Dr, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Wilma.
