William G. McKelvey

McKelvey – William G., 81, of Salix, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2019 at his home in Salix. Born March 8, 1938, in Pittsburgh. Son of Robert and Margaret (Copes) McKelvey. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Atty: Jeanne W. McKelvey and son, William G. McKelvey, Jr. He is survived by his loving children, Colt A. (Rachel) McKelvey, Chey Y. (Cody) McKelvey-Todaro, and Dr. Robert J. (Sharon) McKelvey; grandchildren; Leanne, Laura, Joshua, John, Joseph, Lydia, and Ava. Great granddaughter, Finley DeSoto; brother, Robert T. (Arlene) McKelvey, Washington, PA; brothers-in-law; Dr. Gary Wolford and Dr. Larry Wolford. Also, numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a Veteran of the US Airforce. He was a member of Trinity PCA Church, Hostetler Road, Richland and former member of the Fulton Co. Jaffa Shrine. Bill was a Col. in the Civil Air Patrol. He was owner and operator of McKelvey Oil Comp. Inc. for over 40 years. Bill was also a licensed pilot. He served on numerous boards in several counties. Bill loved the Lord and will be remembered for his strong work ethic and love for his family. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 9 to time of Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Trinity PCA Church. Rev. Dr. David Karlberg, Pastor. Interment will be at Deer Creek Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. Family suggests donations to Trinity PCA Church or to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center in memory of his late wife, Jeanne Wolford McKelvey.
