William G. Butts

William G. “Bill,” 91,  Franklin, passed away March 7, 2020 in Johnstown. Born June 13, 1928, Clymer, son of Irene and stepfather, Brahm Shiley. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Olga (Babics) and brothers, Lou and Eugene “Fat” Butts. Survived by sons, William, Johnstown; son, Doug and his wife, Donna, Atoka, TN and grandson, Daniel and his wife, Whitney, Memphis, TN. Bill was a longtime bricklayer at Bethlehem Steel and outside contractor/bricklayer in the Johnstown area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, joke telling, watching the Steelers and the Pirates, crossword puzzles and spending time with his family. Bill’s family would like to thank the Franklin Borough Fire Company, Conemaugh Valley EMS, McCullough Place, Conemaugh Medical Center, and Dr. Wisnewski and his staff. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Pueblitz and his staff. He was Bill and Olga’s physician for many years and provided  outstanding care. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh. Private burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
