Vera May Trabold

Trabold, Vera May, 92, of Richland, went to be with the Lord December 21, 2020.  Born March 11, 1928 in Altoona, PA. Daughter of Russel B. and Vera May (Eichensehr) Weakland. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 63 years, Richard; brothers, Russel, William and Thomas; sister Patricia; and son-in-law Paul Webb. Survived by children: Cynthia Webb, Richland; Eric, married to Joanne (Leuser), Columbus, OH; Diane “Dee” Crownover, Richland; Kurt, married to Linda (Pound), Frederick, MD; Charmaine Moan, Port St. Lucie, FL.; Todd, married to Sharon (Palen), Richland; sister-in-law Florence, Mayport, FL. Vera had 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1945 graduate of Cresson High School.  Retired as a stenographer from the U.S. Dept. of the Interior, Bureau of Mines. Vera was a faithful member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, where she led the Rosary at 12:05 Mass and sang in the Contemporary and Resurrection choirs. Her devotion and love of the Lord was evident to everyone who knew her. She also made home-made, hand-dipped chocolate candy for 43 years for family and friends.  A special thank you to Deb N., Trish S., Alan T. and all Arbutus Park Manor Staff. Friends received 4-6pm Sunday, December 27 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 28th at St. Benedict Church.  Fr David S. Ron and I offer our heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother. We are thankful for the many years she led the rosary before the 12:05 Mass. May she rest in peace. We know how blessed she was to have a loving family care for her. You did your very best!
