Vanessa M. Stephens

Stephens – Vanessa M., 30, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2020. Born on January 9, 1990 in Johnstown, daughter of Theodore Helsel, Johnstown and Erica S. (Christian) Winkleman, Johnstown. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Janie and William Stephens, and siblings, Coby and Savanah. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving children, Derick Jr., Royale, and Sire; brothers, Antonio, Robert, and Dorian Stephens, all of Johnstown and Nigel Tisinger, Monroeville, PA; significant other, Derick Stephens Sr. Johnstown; God parents, Benny and Carolyn Britt; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many cousins, including special cousins, Radiah, Lepree, Carlique, and Kweilin; many friends, including special friends, Amanda, Keneisha, Roberta, Apryle, and Brandi. Vanessa was a 2008 graduate of McCaskey High School. She later graduated from Cambria Rowe Business College. Vanessa was employed at Conemaugh Medical Center. She lived for her children more than anything else in life. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Elder James Britt officiating. Masks are requested. Interment will be at Headrick Union Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to her family in her memory.
