Tobie R. Keirn

Keirn – Tobie R., 59, Upper Yoder Township, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 15, 1961 in Johnstown, son of Robert H. and Nancy M. (Gordon) Keirn. Preceded in death by his parents; sons, William and Shawn Miller; grandson, Eddie  Helsel; granddaughter, Alyssa Miller; great-great grandsons, Davin and Judah; son-in-law, Edward Helsel and sister, Gayla Padgett. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Deborah E. (Morgart) Keirn; daughters, Christina Helsel and Cassandra Cobaugh, both of Johnstown; grandchildren, Jesse and Sarah Helsel, Amanda and Cody Miller, and Anthony, D.J., Blake, and Nevaeh; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Joseph (Debra) Keirn, Shawn (Renee) Keirn, and Lisa (Warren) Gregory, all of Johnstown; several nieces, nephews, and many friends, including best friend, Gregory Edwards, Teresa Miller, who was his loving care giver, and Tilly Stephens, who was like a 3rd daughter. Tobie was a US Army National Guard Veteran. He was employed with Elias Painting for 39 years as a painter. Tobie enjoyed hunting, fishing, picnicking with his family, as well as working. He mostly loved spending time with his entire family. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with the Rev. Stephen C. Moore officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
