Thomas J. Redvay

REDVAY----Thomas J., 77, Richland, passed away on January 25, 2023. Born October 25, 1945, in Chicago, son of John S. and Rosemary T. (Kresach) Redvay. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife of nearly 55 years, Diane (Foxworthy) Redvay, whom he married February 24, 1968; children, Gordon (Diana) Redvay, Clearwater, FL; Kevin (Kim) Redvay, Johnstown; Christopher Redvay, Richland; Marna Furman (Kai Lin), Cranberry Twp.; and John (Eri) Redvay, Ferndale; grandchildren, Timothy, Alyssa, Steven, Kayla, Brittany, Abigail, Sophia, Stella, Archer, Jack and Jude. Tom was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a metallurgical engineering degree. He worked at LaSalle Steel, Hammond, IN and at Burnside Steel in Chicago. Locally, he retired from Penn Machine with 26 years of services. Tom enjoyed trips to the casinos and he especially cherished time with his grandchildren. He was known as the devoted patriarch of the family. At Tom's request, there will be no public viewing or service, but a family gathering is planned to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org in memory of Thomas J. Redvay.
