MILLER---Thomas H. Sr., 94, Richland, passed away on August 26, 2025 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born December 12, 1930, son of Harry and Helen (Younga) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife of 68 years Lillian P. (Block) Miller, sisters, Alice Halapia and Lillian Blough. Survived by children, Thomas H. Miller Jr. and wife, Sandy, Johnstown; Bryan D. Miller, Johnstown; James R. Miller and Jodi, Windber and Michael K. Miller and wife, Amy, Johnstown; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way. Brother of Donna Gillin, Richland. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Georgia. He was a successful, well-known self-employed general contractor in the Johnstown area. He was a member of Arbutus Church of the Brethren. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and taking care of his fish pond. He created numerous ice sculptures and was always tinkering in his garage. Tom will be missed by his family and all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Arbutus Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Guy Myers officiating. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to Arbutus Park Manor or Arbutus Church of the Brethren Pet food pantry in memory of Thomas H. Miller Sr. The family wishes to extend great thanks to the caregivers of Windber Hospice and Arbutus Park Manor for their loving care of Tom and Buck, our family dog.
