Theresa A. Preuss

Preuss – Theresa A., 88, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2021. Born on October 18, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Anna Biss. Preceded in death by her parents; loving son, Michael; siblings, William, Michael, Frank, Sister Theodosia Biss, and Mary Pelletier. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, James F. Preuss Sr., East Conemaugh; children, Mary Ann Hinterliter, East Conemaugh, and James F. Jr. (Theresa A.) Preuss, East Conemaugh; daughter-in-law, Ruth Preuss, Richland; grandchildren, Nickie Mitchell, Brad Hinterliter, Michael, Christopher, Jason and James M. Preuss, Missa Lucio, and Jessica Plummer; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Ann Kinel, NY; sister-in-law, Anna Biss, Richland; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends including special friend, Tessa Croft-Hinterliter, Harrisburg. Theresa was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration, where she loved volunteering making pierogi and preparing meals. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to the casinos. Theresa’s family would also like you to know that Theresa was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and a blessing to anyone that knew her. She enjoyed every minute of her life and taking care of everyone she loved. Her door was always opened to family, friends and never did she let you go hungry. Our family was beyond blessed to have her as our mother, grandmother “Zosia”. She will always live in our memories and her spirit will live on with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Theresa’s family would like to thank Windber Hospice and St. Jude’s Haven for their loving care. Friends will be received from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday (May 6, 2021) at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Committal will be at Assumption Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to Conemaugh Fire Company, Ladies Guild,343 First Street, Conemaugh PA 15909 in memory of Theresa.
