She was extremely proud of her family and enjoyed participating in as many activities as her health permitted. Thelma loved to be involved with people, especially enjoying polka dancing with her special group of friends, traveling the U.S. with the retirement group, being the President of the PTA and holding various offices in her church’s Altar and Rosary Society. She was the clerk/Postmaster in Dunlo for 25 years and was well known for her delicious baking, especially her nut rolls, gobs and lady locks. After living in Dunlo for over 65 years and following the death of her husband, Walter, Thelma moved to Venetia with her daughter, Janet, where she resided for 7 ½ years. After her health started to fail, she became a beloved resident of Paramount Senior Living in Peters Township where she was an active member in their social activities and resided there for about a year. Her passion was her family, of which she was most proud. A special thank you goes out to each and every employee of Paramount for being so attentive to Thelma throughout her stay, especially during her final days.
