BAILEY—Stella C., 80, Portage, passed away on June 5, 2026 while surrounded by family. Born Aug. 12, 1945, in Portage, daughter of Charles and Mary (Saranetz) Goral. Preceded in death by parents; brother, John, infant brother, Raymond and sister, Marcella Bailey. Survived by children, Joseph Bailey; Kenneth (Augusta Czysz) Bailey; Lori (Drew) Long; and Susan (Keith) Dickert; grandchildren, Katlyn (Charles) Bailey; Tanner (Emma) Long; Madison Dickert; Levi Long; Nathan Dickert; Marika Bailey; Izaak Bailey and Danek Bailey. Sister of Edward (Carol) Goral; also survived by bonus son, Gerald Zahorchak, special niece and nephews, Mary Beth Buehner, Bill Bailey and Michael Bailey. Stella loved her family with her whole heart and her Catholic faith. There are some people whose love becomes woven into the fabric of a family, and Stella Bailey was one of those people. She filled our lives with warmth, laughter, and a kind of steady love that made everyone around her feel at home. Whether she was sharing stories, preparing a favorite meal, or simply spending time with the people she loved most, she had a way of making every moment feel special. Her greatest joy was her family. She celebrated out successes, stood beside us through challenges, and created countless memories that we will treasure forever. The lessons she taught us through her kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering love will remain with us for the rest of our lives. Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we are grateful for the gift of having known and loved her. Her love lives on in each of us, and her memory will forever be a blessing. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Holy Family Parish, 509 Caldwell Ave., Portage, with Fr. Tom Stabile T.O.R. officiating.
