TIMKO--Sally L. (Brewer), 90, of Johnstown, sadly passed away on October 26, 2025. She was born on May 29, 1935 in Summerhill, daughter of Charles E. and Naomi (Gallagher) Brewer. Preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Shirley (Donald) Strayer, Patricia (Roy) Green and Bonnie (George) Novotny and brother, Charles “Butch” (Arlene) Brewer; sons, Robert and Rick Casciotti and daughter, Cherri McKendrie. She was survived by her husband of 58 years, Pete Timko. Loving mother to children Tammy, wife of Gary Gaunt; Barry, wife Anna (Fetzer); and Scott, wife Nicole (Razza); nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Sally was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. For 27 years, she managed the Life Uniform store in Johnstown. She was a two-time cancer survivor. Sally lived a remarkable life surrounded by family who admired her and were inspired by her strength and love of life. She was an amazing cook who loved holiday and Sunday get-togethers with her family. Sally enjoyed water skiing and butterflies.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, with Sally’s grandson, Rev. Craig Gaunt officiating. Committal, Richland Cemetery.
The family wants to thank Windber Hospice Care. They provided truly amazing and compassionate care. The staff who cared for her became family.
