Ruth T. Tyrol

Tyrol, Ruth T., 86, of Richland Township, passed away on January 2, 2011 at Richland Woods Assisted Living Center. She was born October 3, 1924 in Philadelphia. Daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Jackson) Turner. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Cora Delaney and Marion Engle and a brother, Robert. Survived by loving husband, John W. Tyrol, Richland Township; daughters, Barbara E. wife of Frank Belusik, Delran, NJ, Janice T. wife of Barry Hildebrand, Vinco and Ginni T. wife of Brian Houp, Huntingdon; grandchildren, Andrea, Frankie, Matthew, Cassidy and Kody; great grandchildren, Wilson, Xander and Leila. Ruth was a devoted member of the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church. She was employed as an Executive Assistant for Day and Zimmerman, Philadelphia. Ruth enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and loved Schnauzers and birds of all kinds, especially cardinals. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. At Ruth’s request there will be no public viewing. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with the Rev. Stanley Bhasker officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church, 508 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652-1523 in memory of Ruth.
