Ruth L. Troutman

Troutman---Ruth L., (George) (Nipps), 94, went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2022, at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, PA. where she was a resident for (16) years. Born on April 24, 1927, in Vintondale, PA, daughter of Delmer C. and Sara J. (Williams) George. Preceded in death by her parents; first husband J. Ronald Nipps; second husband Robert J. Troutman; sisters, Jane George, and Elma Whinnie; and step-son James Troutman. Survived by her son, James R. Nipps, Jr., married to the former Doris Hess; daughter Nancy R. Heeman; and step-daughter; Ruth A. Bell. 4 Grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; and 6 step-great-grandchildren. Sister Ida Mae Hughey, St. Petersburg, FL and brother William L. George, Placerville CA. Throughout her life Ruth was involved in many aspects of local church ministry. In Vintondale, Teaching Sunday School, Youth Ministries, Bible School, and personal ministry to others. In Johnstown, she led Bible Studies for a number of years at the Presbyterian Home; she corresponded with missionaries until several months ago and has been a prayer warrior all her life. She was a member of West Hills Community Church and when she couldn't attend Church, she would watch the service on her iPad. She always had a great attitude and was always "thankful" for something. Ruth was a homemaker who worked at the Ebensburg State School and Presbyterian Home for short periods of time. She was actively involved at Laurel View Village. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and Interment will be at Belsano United Methodist Cemetery, Belsano, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Laurel View Village, 2000 Cambridge Dr. Davidsville, PA 15928 or West Hills Community Church Mission Fund, 2301 Sunshine Ave. Johnstown, PA 15905.
