MILLER---Ruth Ellen, 100, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at The Addison of McCullough Place. Born Sept. 22, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of Rose Marie (Koenig) Reighard and Chester M. Reighard. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Melvin Clyde Miller; brother, Donald M. Reighard, and daughter-in-law, Sylvia Fantauzzi Miller. Survived by children, William R. Miller, McDonough, Ga.; Judith (Miller) Crookston and husband Dennis, Johnstown; Barry L. Miller and wife Terri (Bentz), York, Pa.; grandchildren, Tammy (Miller) Turner and husband, Scott, McDonough, Ga., Morgan L. Miller, York, Pa.; and cousin, Janet Gilley, Boardman, OH.; great-grandchildren, Reese, USAF Alaska and Keafer, USAF Wyoming; Ian and Elias Turner, McDonough, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Donna Dick, Dayton OH; Michelle Margetan, Robbie and Tom Reighard, Johnstown. Ruth was a former long-time member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, where she served as Financial Secretary for many years; current member of Westmont Presbyterian Church. Ruth was known as a great cook and baker, and served as a Red Cross volunteer and loved yearly family vacations at Cape Hatteras on the Outer Banks. Private interment at Richland Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
