Robert B. "Tink" Gustkey

GUSTKEY----Robert Blair “Tink,” 84, Johnstown, formerly of the Wheel Plant, died on August 9, 2020, at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 21, 1936, in Johnstown, son of Charles and Melvina (Flook) Gustkey. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Franklin and Ernest; granddaughter, Bridget and special niece, Emily Boring. Survived by loving wife of 60 years, Nellie Jane (Drummer), daughter, Jane (Ronald J.) Shawley, and sons, Luke, Joel (Marshia), Carl and Eric; grandchildren, Luke Jr., Amanda, Melissa (Josh), Stephanie (Doug), Allison, Marcus, Jordan (Carling), Miranda, Liz, Shannon, Austin and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Kurtis, Keith, Isabella, Benjamin, Lilyann, Andre and Cody; brothers and sisters, Donna (Pat) Pollino, Charles Jr., Sue Zimmerman, Pearl (Robert) Zimmerman, James (Christine), William (Anna Mae), David (Patty), Thomas Sr., Julius (Debbie), Rebecca Boring, Linda, John (Sharon), Paul (Tammy) and Joyce (Dave) Hohan, and too many loving nieces and nephews to count. Bob was a life member of the Franklin Borough Volunteer Fire Department. He worked as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel until they closed and then got his dream job working for Conrail. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, fishing, playing pinochle and spending time with all of his family. He was always continuing his education and received various achievements throughout his life. He obtained an associate degree in accounting from Cambria Rowe. Member of Garfield St. United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Marjorie Keefer officiating.
