Robert "Bob" P. Kachmar

Kachmar, Robert P. Jr., “Bob”, 39, of Johnstown, passed away on March 29, 2011 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 11, 1971 in Johnstown. Son of Robert P. Sr. and Sharon L. (Seese) Kachmar, both of Richland Township. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving siblings, Stephen M., York, PA, Matthew R. married to the former Heather Hawkins, Lajes, Portugal, Mark J. married to the former Ghislaine Milan, Denver, CO and Annette M. wife of Frank Villamizar, Fredericksburg, VA; maternal grandparents, Jerome and Rose (Tisack) Seese, Palm Coast, FL; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Bob was a 1989 graduate of Richland High School. He was a truck driver for Milliken Millworks. Bob attended St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Johnstown. He was also a life member of the Richland Township Fire Department, where he was a firefighter and will be remembered as a dynamic individual who spearheaded many of the improvements seen today at the fire department. Through his desire to help others, Bob touched the lives of many families. Family and friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where the Richland Township Fireman will have a Last Call service at 7:45 P.M. and Parastas will be sung at 8 PM. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Saturday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Msgr. Raymond Balta. Committal will be at St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Cemetery, Dunlo. Bob’s family suggests contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Bob.
