BLOCK----Robert J., 68, passed away in his Elton home on October 13, 2020. Born October 26, 1951, in Johnstown, son of the late William H. Sr. and Agnes A. (Brawley) of Walnut Grove. Survived by his wife NancyJo (Krupa), sister, Patricia, brothers, William Jr. and Walter; and numerous nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Bob was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown’s Electrical Engineering Program with a stellar career with the H.F. Lenz Company, Johnstown. He was greatly respected by his peers and his clients. He maintained long-term relationships with childhood friends and family from the Walnut Grove area. Bob was a 14 year survivor of Mesothelioma. We are deeply indebted and grateful to the late Dr. David J. Sugarbaker previously from The International Mesothelioma Program (IMP) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston founded in 2002 in response to the rising incidence of incurable mesothelioma around the world. Since then, it has become the premier center for mesothelioma care and the largest of its kind in the world, and Dr. Dale Adler Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine.
