I sincerely apologize for my late comments but I recently joined this group.
Rick was my neighbor when I lived in Richland… I lived at the corner of Lilly and Kenneth avenue .. 317 Kenneth Avenue …… we were in the same class together.
We walked home from the bus stop together. He was always very sweet and kind.
He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was a great guy.
I’m so very sorry for your loss….
We moved to Pittsburgh in June of 1974.

Blessed Repose and Eternal Memory. We are so glad we were a part of your lives together- from sharing your wedding day to graduation parties to conversations after church at St Benedict! My fondest memory of Ric is watching him in line to receive communion w/ Sarah and Josh. What a great role model he was as a father and husband.
When done you love becomes a memory, all those precious memories become a treasure that no one can take from you. May they give you peace in the coming days!!!

Mr. Szelong was a teacher that stands out in my memories. I still tell stories of his humor even though I have been out of school for 25 years. May he Rest In Peace and continue to consider the road less traveled for its beauty. Thank you to his family for sharing him with his students.

Condolences to the entire Szelong family. I taught in the same department as Ric for many years at United. We usually seemed to find some humor in those department meetings at the end of the day! Thanks for keeping them short Ric! Rest in Peace

Dear Brenda and family, please except my sympathy at the passing of Ric. One of the hardest things in this life is to say Good-by to a loved one. Praying that God will give you the strength and peace you will need for each day of this journey of grief that you are now on. I had Sarah in my Awanda Cubbies group many years ago. She was a delightful little girl. In Christian love, Debi Csarak from Emmanuel
