Richard T. "Dick" Pavic

PAVIC---Richard T. (Dick), 81, East Taylor, passed away on September 23, 2021.  Born on June 23, 1940 in Johnstown, son of the late George and Helen (Skufca) Pavic.  Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn J. (Reed); brother Ronald Pavic and grandson Joshua Pavic; survived by sons Richard T. Pavic Jr., married to Shari (Maniccia), Nicktown; Mark A. Pavic, married to Lori (Domonkos), Vinco; and his daughter Erin M. Pavic, East Taylor; also survived by his grandchildren Lonnie J. Ramirez Jr., Mark Allen Joseph Pavic, and Payden S. Pavic; sister Patricia Krzysko, Hanover, Pa; brothers Donald (Marianne), Myrtle Beach, SC.; and Thomas (Pamula), Brownstown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Dick was a 1958 graduate of Conemaugh High School.  He was Honorably Discharged after serving 6 years as a Military Policeman with the Pennsylvania National Guard and is a member of the Parkhill American Legion Post 970.  A talented musician, Dick was highly active in the local music scene in his youth and was known for his skills as a saxophonist. Dick enjoyed fishing, participating in the Conemaugh PNA Horseshoe League and scrap collecting.  Best of all, Dick was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. A private family funeral service will be held at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh with Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Online condolences may be posted at www.wharrisfuneralhome.com. Cremation by Laurel Highlands Crematory at Harris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Shriner’s Hospitals at www.lovetotherescue.org in memory of Richard T. Pavic.
