Richard J. "Jack" Felton

FELTON---Richard J. “Jack,” 87, Richland, passed away on February 6, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. Born July 7, 1938, in Johnstown, son of Stanley “Pip” and Louise (Elkin) Felton. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert and sister, Carol; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joe and Ann (Hohla) Rubal; sister-in-law, Dolores Rubal and brothers-in- law, Leonard Rubal and Joseph Rubal. Survived by wife of 59 years, Eileen “Linky” (Rubal); and son, Richard J. Felton Jr. and wife, Jenifer (Schulties); sisters-in-law, Millie Pierre, Myrna Rubal and Laverne Felton; also survived by nieces and nephews. Jack was a 1956 graduate of Johnstown High School. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for many years and then assisted with the opening of Johnstown Wire Technologies. Jack was a scuba diver, boater, water skier, remote control airplane pilot and private pilot. He enjoyed working on cars, drag racing and fixing anything that was broken. Member of the Bethlehem Steel luncheon group at Our Son’s Restaurant. Jack’s family would like to thank Drs. Sbeitan and Matse, friends, Renee and Charlie, Kim and Butch, Marylou and Ron, Barb and Jack, and the staff of Conemaugh Home Health and Conemaugh Hospice, for all of their support. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and again from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the funeral home.
