Rev. Kenneth C. Louder

LOUDER--- The Rev. Kenneth C., died in the Lord on Easter, April 20, 2025, at St. Jude's Haven, Johnstown, Pa., at the age of 92 years old. Rev. Louder was born in Johnstown, to Harriet Ustrella Schrader Louder Rinehart and Kenneth C. Louder. He was preceded in death by his father; loving wife, Janice Lee Stuver Louder; his daughter, Mara Lee; and sons, Mark and David. He is survived by his daughters-in-law, Denise and Corlee; grandchildren, Anna, Amanda, Mara, Robert, Kayla, Andrew, their respective spouses; and 13 great-grandchildren. Kenneth grew up in the Johnstown area. He was a 1950 graduate of Johnstown High School, 1955 graduate of Gettysburg College, and 1970 seminary graduate from Gettysburg Seminary. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Morrellville as a child, and was sponsored by them to enter into the Lutheran Pastoral Ministry. His ministry started as a student pastor in Breezewood and after finishing seminary he began official parish ministry at Kernsville Parish, First Lutheran Church in Windber, First Lutheran Church in Watsontown, and a number of other parishes in the Allegheny and Upper Susquehanna Synods. His final place of ministry was (unofficially) to his friends and fellow residents of St. Jude's Haven where he lived for the last 16 months. In addition to the ministry, he held multiple other jobs in the Johnstown area including a reporter for The Tribune-Democrat, executive director of Easter Seals, and the director of camp programing for the Girl Scouts in several counties. A memorial service will be held at United in Christ Lutheran Church, 1875 Churches Road, Lewisburg, Pa. 17837 on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Justin and Scott Lingenfelter officiating.
