Raymond G. Tiffany

Tiffany – Raymond G., 78, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2021 at Centre Crest, Bellefonte. Born on October 16, 1942 in Johnstown, son of the late Lawrence and Ruth (Thomas) Tiffany. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Georgia Ann (Hutzler) Tiffany; children, Matthew A. (Meredith), Woodbridge, VA, Tamara Ann Butler, Johnstown, and Tara J. (Danny) Shapich, Julian, PA; grandchildren, Erica and Olivia Tiffany, Caelyn and Tiffany Butler, and Maksim and Marisa Shapich; siblings, Lawrence “Butch”, Johnstown, Elaine (Dennis) Diehl, FL, and Beverly McCuch, Windber; brother-in-law, Richard (Joyce) Hutzler , Richland, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was a 1960 graduate of Westmont High School. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Ray retired from Bethlehem Steel after many years of service and later retired from Vanity Fair as Shipping Supervisor. He was a member of Roxbury St. Paul’s United Methodist Church; Richland American Legion Post #849, GTE Golf League, and Oakbrook Golf Course. Ray organized the Galleria Men’s Coffee Club which still meets every day. He loved playing all sports, especially softball, golfing, and watching the Steelers. At Ray’s request, there will be no public viewing. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, with the Rev. James Gay officiating. Military rites conducted at the funeral home by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Private inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Geistown. The family suggests contributions be directed to Centre Crest Resident Fund, 502 E. Howard St, Bellefonte, PA 16823 in memory of Raymond.
