Raymond L. Hite

Hite, Raymond L. Sr., “Red”, 92, of Belmont. Died October 15, 2011, at Windber Medical Center. Born May 5, 1919, in Lilly. Son of the late Fred S. and Mary Catherine (McAtamney) Hite. Also preceded in death by these brothers and sisters; Harry, Elwood, Bernadine, Camilus, Coletta , James, Alice, Edith Roberts, Fred, Verna Parks, Florence Baldwin, Evelyn Perry, Louise Johnson and Leroy.  Survived by wife of 65 years, Dorothy A. (Brown)and these children; Raymond L. , Jr., married to the former Joyce Petrarca, Johnstown; Michael F., married to the former Paula Flinn, Cresson, Pa.; and Robert E., married to the former Judy Frank, Annandale, VA. Grandchildren; Hannah (Aaron) McCurry, Michaela (Denver) Claywell, Keely and Jason (Suzanne) Hite, John (Erica) Minnick and Stephanie Frank. Also 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Army Air Force Veteran of WWII. Retired with 34 years’ service as a route salesman with Schmidt’s Baking Co. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and Holy Name Society, Geistown; Lilly American Legion Post # 628; St. Benedict Mens Duckpin League, a volunteer at Meals on Wheels and Retired Teamsters. Friends received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil Service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 am Wednesday at St. Benedict Church. Fr.
