ALLEN---Rayford I., 87, Richland Township, passed away on May 10, 2025 at home. Born May 11, 1937, in Richland Township, son of Ernest L.G. and Catherine (Bailey) Allen. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Larry Allen; sisters-in-law, Patricia Allen, Linda Allen, Gayle Cauffiel and Nancy Faith. Survived by wife of 42 years and love of his life, Charlotte M. (Snyder) Allen; children, Darla (Rick) Mock; Debra (David) Siplivy; Rayford J. Allen; Darlene (Gary) Shedlock; Deloris (Chris) Hoffman; Larry Mognet; Penny Thomas; Cynthia (Randy) Kessler; Scott (Kimberly) Mognet; grandchildren, Holly (Terry) Zevorich; Jason (Crystal) Mock; Jared (Toni) Mock; Dana (Scott) Kapcsos; David (Nicole) Siplivy; Dustin (Jessica) Siplivy; Diana (Andrew) Horner; Steven (Kelsey) Shedlock; Grace Edsel; Hope Edsel and C.J. Brother of Gary Allen. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Toni Mognet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick Cauffiel, James Gay, Ron Faith, Letitia Brush, Doris Rose, Beverly Bloom, Joan Gay, Patty Gay and many nieces and nephews; special friends, Feryl Berkey and Dale Brehm. Rayford was a graduate of Richland High School. He was a US Army veteran and member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren. He was employed for many years at Thiele Truck Body Manufacturing in Windber, United Metals and W.C. McQuaide. Ray was a very hard worker and he loved farming, raising beef cattle, horses and many other animals for most of his life. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
