Ralph E. Schneck Jr.

Schneck – Ralph E. Jr., 78, Geistown, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2025 at his home. Born on August 18, 1946 in Johnstown, son of Ralph E. Sr. and Dorothy (Werner) Schneck. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Elaine (Bloom) Schneck.

He is survived by his loving cousins, Tim (Karen) Smith, Rick (Cindy) Smith, Althea (Jerome) Seese and Christine (Robert) Ritter; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Kimberly Bloom, and Marilyn Pepley; great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Ralph graduated from Johnstown High School. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran. Ralph was also a life member of Zion Lutheran Church, Johnstown, PA. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown Bank and Trust, and 1st Summit Bank from which he retired. Ralph and his late wife Carol loved traveling in their RV, especially to Myrtle Beach, and up and down the east coast, and also several trips out west. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Care Coordinator, Eileen Graham, of EG Associates Group, and Ralph’s loving caregivers, Leanna Kearns, Danielle Rish, Cathy Edwards, Linda Livingston, and Maja Lupton. Also, special thanks to Joyce Anderson and the UPMC Home Health staff, AseraCare Hospice, and Reverend Michael Van Dyke.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 15th, at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland with the Rev. Michael A. VanDyke officiating. Interment will be at Dunmyer Lutheran Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Menoher Post #155, VFW. The family suggests contributions be directed to a charity of one’s choice or to the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Dr Ext, Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Ralph.
