Phyllis M. Stiles

STILES---Phyllis M., 93, Coral Springs, Florida, formerly of Johnstown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 13, 2025 in her home. Born April 29, 1932, in Johnstown, daughter of Fred and Trella Warshel. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 70 years, Walter A. Stiles Jr.; brothers, George and Fred, sister, Mildred (Warshel) Moschgat, daughter-in-law, Mary Lou (Hutchinson) Stiles, and grandsons, Samuel Stiles and David K. Stiles Jr. Survived by children, Linda Hobba, Valerie Schrott, Walter A. Stiles III, Richard and wife, Barbara (Sendek) Stiles and David Stiles Sr.; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, with a great-grandson coming in August; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great zest for life and loved our Lord immensely. She was an amazing force in the kitchen, who loved to cook delicious meals for her family--although she was often accused by her daughters-in-law of omitting just 1 or 2 ingredients or techniques when she shared her recipes with them! Phyllis was self-taught and excelled at the art of needle point and proudly received numerous awards and blue ribbons at county fairs. She was also a private pilot. She and Walter are now joined together in heaven, sharing eternity. The family would like to thank Robin and the staff from American Nursing for their care and kindness shown to Phyllis during the last 4 years. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Pastor Dave Streets, officiating.
