Paul T. Hagerich

Hagerich, Paul T., 89, of Jackson Township, passed away on September 21, 2020, at his residence. Born on December 6, 1930 in Vinco. Son of Ralph and Ethel V. (Gillin) Hagerich. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, M. Faye (Shaffer); brothers, Bob, Glenn, and Rodney; sisters, Faye Hunt, Mary Lou Baker, and Helen Moore. Survived by loving children, Jeffrey P. married to the former Denise Podrasky, East Taylor Township; daughter, Lori A. wife of William Frazier, Fairfax, VA; granddaughters, Kelly N. and Bethany A. Frazier, Fairfax, VA; sisters, Marge Gillespie, Sara Jane Leckey, and Wanda Ellis; brothers, David (Janet) Hagerich, and Larry (Sherry) Hagerich and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a 1948 graduate of Conemaugh High School. He served as a SFC in the US Army during the Korean War. Paul was owner and operator of Hagerich’s Garage, East Taylor Township, for over 54 years. He was a member of Vinco Brethren Church for over 50 years; Conemaugh Volunteer Fireman’s Club; Fraternal Order of Eagles, #1811; Parkhill American Legion, Post # 0970, and the Polish National Alliance #1569. He actively played basketball at the Franklin Fire Hall until the age of 82. Paul also enjoyed playing softball. Friends will be received from 9:30 until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh, with Pastor Zachary Yonko officiating. Interment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Conemaugh Valley Det. #287 Marine Corp League Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Vinco Brethren Church, 123 Adams Avenue, Mineral Point, PA 15942 in memory of Paul.
