Paul I. Eck

Eck, Paul I., 77, Palmyra, PA, formerly of Johnstown, PA. Died December 30, 2017 in Lebanon, PA. Born March 15, 1940, in Johnstown. Son of Carl and Alpharetta "Rusty" (McKee) Eck. Preceded in death by parents and sisters Carlene Woomer, married to the late Forrest Woomer; and Judith. Survived by wife of 52 years, Rosemary; and brothers Edward, formerly of California; and Jack, Ohio; and sister Dianna Mack, wife of Donald Mack of Vintondale. Also survived by nieces, Karie, of North Carolina; Ashley, wife of Edward McDonough, Ohio; nephews, William Weaver of Armagh; and Bryan Mack of Vintondale; Brian, married to Sue Woomer, Honesdale; and Scott Woomer, CT; Todd Eck of Ohio; Laurie, married to Harry Lint; and several great nieces and nephews. Vietnam era Army veteran. Paul was retired with 21 years of service as a Program Integrator with the Federal Defense Contract Management Agency. Formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown. Member of First United Methodist Church of Palmyra and former member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Johnstown. An avid hunter and fishermen, Paul was a member of the Sandflat Hunting Club and enjoyed traveling.  He was also a member of Cambria Lodge 278 of the Free Masons. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Johnstown, PA 15904 where service will be held at 11 AM Thursday. Rev. Keith Dunn, officiating.
