Fisher - Patricia Louise (Hoover), 85, formerly of Patton, Pa. Passed away December 21, 2017, the Winter Solstice. Pat died peacefully in her sleep of complications from Alzheimer’s in the Washington D.C. apartment she shared with her husband Bill. Born January 18, 1932, in Spangler, Pa, daughter of the late Sue and Lew Hoover. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary W. Fisher; and her brothers Bernard Hoover and Donald Hoover. Survived by her husband of 61 years, happily married to William G. Fisher. Dedicated wife and loving mother of 4 children; Dr. Gerald L. (Susan) Fisher of Westmont, Karen S. (Colleen) Fisher of Washington, D.C. and Scott J. (Laurie) Fisher of State College. Adored by 6 Grandchildren; Lauren (William) Willett, Garrett, Bryant, Ethan, Lea, and Amber Fisher. Pat was a proud graduate of Patton High School (playing the clarinet in the Band) and a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. In addition to being a Registered Nurse, Pat also worked by the side of her husband Bill, in the operations of the former Park Hill Rexall Drug Store, outside of Conemaugh, PA, until retiring. Pat was an avid gardener and lover of books, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, Bill. Pat enjoyed a good cup of tea year round and a nice Irish beer on Saint Patrick’s Day. She was not just a mother. Pat was a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, and a dear friend. She will be forever in our hearts. Relatives and friends received from 9 AM to 10 AM Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home. 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Patton, PA. with Fr. Ananias, O.S.B., presiding. The family suggests that those interested should make contributions in the memory of Pat Fisher to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Office, P.O.
