Patricia Anne Conklin

Conklin - Patricia Anne (Boyer), 87, Davidsville, died Sunday, August 1, 2021. Born on April 12, 1934 in Johnstown PA. Preceded in death by parents, Florence (Christensen) and Harry Walter Boyer; sister, Marion Boyer Renfrew; and husband of 62 years, Walter Ross Conklin. Survived by children: Janis Coltin (William Coltin), John Conklin (Maria Esposito) and Gary Conklin (Janet Hanson); and grandchildren: Jessica, Brian, Blayne, Michael, Darian, Mary, Kali, Kathryn, and John. Pat was the first student confirmed at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and a 1952 graduate of Richland High School. She was employed by Penn Traffic and Bethlehem Steel before becoming a mother and homemaker. While raising her family, Pat volunteered as a room mother in the Richland School District and a Sunday School teacher at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Due to Ross’ US Army service and employment opportunities, Pat also lived in Havre de Grace MD, Bel Air MD, Mt. Laurel NJ, and Marlton NJ. Pat and Ross returned to the Johnstown area in 2006. In addition to her passion for golfing as a former member of Sunnehanna and Ramblewood Country Clubs, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts, duck-pin bowling, and keeping in touch with her many friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1000 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
