Patricia A. Colbert

Colbert – Patricia A., 62, of Jackson Township, passed in peace on June 10, 2018. Born on September 20, 1955 in Johnstown, daughter of Jerry and Erma (Potter) Heider. Preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Suzanna Heider, and her dogs, Sarah and Gauge. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Bruce J. Colbert; sons, Joshua D., married to the former Alyxandra (Ali) Litzsky, Chandler, AZ, and Jeremy R., Pittsburgh; beloved granddaughter, Lenyx N. Colbert; siblings, Douglas, married to the former Sharon Gilman, Shanksville, and Braden, formerly married to Susie Mackall, Jennerstown; many nieces, nephews, and many friends. Patty was a 1973 graduate of Ferndale High School and a graduate of Mt. Aloysius School of Nursing, where she earned her Degree in Nursing. She retired from Good Samaritan Hospital as a Registered Nurse. After retirement, Patty was employed as an Aide at Richland and Blacklick School Districts working with special needs children. She enjoyed animals, fly fishing, spending time at her cottage on Lake Stoneycreek, and taking care of children, especially Roman and Josephina. Patty had the kindest and most loving heart, bringing joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her inner light inspired others to shine more brightly as she was a beacon for kindness, love, and forgiveness. Patty loved her family dearly and will be missed by all, especially her granddaughter Lenyx who only had a short time on earth with her but will forever be shaped by Patty’s (Bubba’s) silly and loving nature, endless fun with songs and dance, and all the valuable lessons she has learned. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th, at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, and at the First United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 15th, with the Rev. Valerie Mize officiating. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
