Nicholas Robert Shaw

Shaw – Nicholas Robert, 49, Windber, formerly of Johnstown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 17, 2017 at Windber Hospice. Born on June 5, 1967 in Johnstown, son of the late Barbara J. (Hall) Shaw. Preceded in death by his mother; and paternal grandparents, Franklin R. and Mary E. (Burkett) Hall. He is survived by his sister, Gina M., wife of Kyle Smith, Windber; niece, Jade, M., wife of Kevin Erickson, Windber; nephews, Kyle Jr., Hunter, and Shadoe, all of Windber; great niece, Avery Jane Erickson, Windber; great nephew, Beau Parker Erickson, Windber; many friends, and Mesha, who he dearly loved. Nicholas was a graduate of Johnstown High School and Cambria-Rowe Business College. He retired from Central City USPS. Nicholas was always helping others and will be remembered as a kind and loving person and will be sadly missed. His family would like to thank everyone who assisted Nick, especially, his nurse and friend, Jennifer Vance. At Nicholas’s request, there will be no public viewing or service. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Grandview Cemetery, with the Pastor James Sands officiating. The family is being served by the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
