Nancy Renee "Luchie" Gibson

GIBSON---Nancy Renee “Luchie,” 68, Johnstown, passed into eternity on March 22, 2026 after a courageous battle of fighting cancer for several years. Born August 8, 1957 in Dauphin County, daughter of Thomas Jenkins and Janie (Christian) Stephens. Luchie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darryl Gibson, son, Lasean Thomas, sister, Tammy Christian and fiancée Anthony Banks. Survived by her children, Tacey (Carlton Perry), Javin (Anika), Kweilin (Brandon) Lepree Christian, siblings, Rosalyn, Erica, John and Gregory. She will be greatly missed by her “nannies” including 21 grandchildren, Carlique (Jeron Copeland), Carlton Jr., Cartasia, Jordan, Preston, Coby, JaVeyah, Javin Jr., Xzavier, Damari, U’Nique, Legacy, Kylynn, Javan, Braia, Aweson, KaRon, Qua-dear, TaMir, Kianunte Jr. and SaMone; 6 great “gran-a-nannies,” Mahki, Cameron, Eva, Enzo, Aries and Sayori, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and family. Luchie graduated from Cambria Rowe Business College in 2015. Her desire for helping others led her into working at Community Action Partnership. She was a lifetime member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and a dedicated member of Christ Centered Community Church, serving on the Usher and Kitchen Club Committee. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon Friday, March 27, 2026 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, with Rev. Antoinette Allen and Pastor Gregory Smith.
