OLEKSA—Miriam A. 89, Conemaugh, went to be with her beloved husband on July 26, 2021. Born February 25, 1932, in Brownstown, daughter of Thomas L. and Anna (Scheer) Gallagher. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Oleksa; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Bernadette, Rita, Patricia, Richard and Thomas. Survived by children, Paula M., wife of Larry Birk, East Taylor Twp., Thomas P. Oleksa, and wife, Robin (Bereznak), Salix; grandchildren, Angela M. Kmett, wife of David Kmett, Mifflinburg, PA and Michelle A. Reid, wife of Tony Reid, Northumberland, PA; great-grandchildren, Kaiden D. and  Kolton W. Kmett; and Isabella R., Avery and Tyson Reid. Sister of James Gallagher (Jane), Mississippi. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Linda Gallagher, Brownstown and Barbara Jenkins, Marion, Indiana. Miriam was member of Church of the Transfiguration, Conemaugh. She was an avid BINGO player, loved to go on bus trips to casinos and enjoyed watching game shows on television. Miriam was a loving mom and she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Church of the Transfiguration with Father Robert C. Hall. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Transfiguration in memory of Miriam A. Oleksa.
