Minnie R. Worrell

Worrell, Minnie R., 95, Davidsville, PA, passed away March 8, 2026 at Laurel View Village. Born September 30, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Earle and Lottie Mae (Hite) Simmons. Preceded in death by parents, husband Robert G. Worrell; son, James D.; grandmother, Emma Jane (Darr) Simmons; special uncle, Merle Simmons; brothers, Harry, Leonard, and Percy; sister, Violet M. (Sis) Dick, and 2 great granddaughters.

Survived by loving children, Thomas G. wife Renee, Johnstown, PA, Richard R. wife Suzanne, Hoschton, GA, Gary L. wife Dorothy, Kilmarnock, VA, and daughter-in-law Chris, North Fort Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and special nieces and cousins. She loved to read and play cards.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience at Laurel View Village Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Bushnell National Cemetery, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Laurel View Caring Fund, 2000 Cambridge Dr., Davidsville, PA 15928 or Windber Hospice 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Minnie.
