Mary Theresa Timcik

Timcik - Mary Theresa, 88, Johnstown, PA, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 2, 2019, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on August 6, 1930, in Johnstown, daughter of John and Ellen (Abele) Walters. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph A.; daughter, Kathleen A. Timcik; sisters: Ellen Hillegas, Johanna Meier, Patricia Krentz, Margaret Mary Giltinan, Kathleen Mesaros and Ruth Walters; and brothers: Richard, Dennis, and James. She is survived by her loving children: Michael (Laura), Jeffrey (Leah) and Family, Joseph (Carla), Theresa Lengenfelder (Douglas) and Emily Devett (Bryan); grandchildren: Kelly, Joshua, Joseph (Jess), Derek, Hayley, Hannah, Mariah, Mitchel, Gabriella, Josiah, Samuel, Annabella, J.P., Kira, Micah, Dylan, Luke and Grace; and great grandchildren: Isaiah and Mia; brother, John (Kay) Walters; sisters-in-law, Pat Walters and Peg Faust, and numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was a graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. She was a member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Theresa loved taking care of her children, cooking wonderful meals and making Christmas spectacular. She and her husband, Joe, danced beautifully together and made the polka seem magical. The family would like to thank the amazing staff of the Crossroads Center at Arbutus Park Manor. It was awe-inspiring to watch the care and kindness they provided to Theresa and all of the residents.  We are eternally grateful. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship with Pastor James Gay officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be directed to Crossroads at Arbutus Park Manor in memory of Theresa.
