McCray – Mary L, “Bunzey”, 81, Richland, formerly of Franklin Borough, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2021 at Windber Hospice. Born on October 12, 1939 in Johnstown, PA. Daughter of the late Nathaniel and Bennie Lee (Anthony) Coleman. Also preceded in death by her husband, John Lee McCray Jr. “Skippy”; grandson, Donta Mickens, and brothers, Nathaniel Coleman Jr., James Coleman Sr. and John Coleman. She is survived by her loving daughters, Deirdre J. McCray, Linden, NJ and Cynthia L. McCray, Johnstown; grandchildren, Samiyah English, Tanadjza Robinson-McCray, and Nassar Rozier-McCray; great granddaughters, Sanay and Saaliah Tucker; siblings, Ronald Coleman, Johnstown, Constance (Jackie) Watts, Michigan City, IN, and cousin/sister, Patsy Jones, Harrisburg, PA; brother-in-law, Herbert McCray, Johnstown; sisters-in-law, Laverne Briggs, Cincinnati, OH and Eular Coleman, Johnstown; God daughters, Joretta Vix, Rostina Miller, Brandie Burns, and her favorite God daughter, Scotty Kelsey; a host of nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Jeanal Johnson and Patricia Dovilier who were like daughters to her. Bunzey was a 1959 graduate of Franklin High School. She retired from Federal Reserve Bank of NY with 16 years of service as an Adjuster. Bunzey was a member of Mt. Sinai Institutional Baptist Church and the Kitchen Club. She was also a member of  the Franklin Alumni Association; E.L. Davis Scholarship Club and the Johnstown 50 and Over Group. Bunzey enjoyed cooking, dancing, and reading. She also had a life-long relationship with the Franklin Girls, Pickle, Verna Mae, LaRue, Joan Marie, Bon, and Andrea. Bunzey loved her family dearly and she and Skippy always opened their door to everyone. Due to Covid-19, Mary's family asks that everyone attending please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday February 27, 2021 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Private funeral service will be held at the funeral home, with the Rev. Maurice T. Williams officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be directed to E.L. Davis Scholarship Club, C/O Norma Jones, 337 Bloomfield Street, Apt #15, Johnstown PA 15904 in memory of Mary. Online condolences may be posted to www.wharrisfuneralhome.com.
