Kovalcik, Mary F., 99, of Richland Woods, formerly of East Taylor Township, passed away on January 1, 2012 at Laurelwood Care Center. She was born on March 17, 1912 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Steve Margic and Slava (Vugrenic) Margic-Hadari. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Kovalcik; brother, Frank Margic; sister, Rose C. Belsky and an infant sister, Anna Margic, She is survived by her loving sisters, Anne Fabina, Richland Township, and Frances Moore, East Taylor Township; brother, Joe Hadari, Nanty Glo, PA and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mary retired from Horn and Hardart Restaurant, NY as a Hostess. She was a member of the former Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church prior to moving to Florida. Mary was a hard worker all her life. She enjoyed dancing and ice skating and will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving lady who enjoyed her family and a simple life. Friends will be received from 9-10 A.M. on Wednesday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the Church of the Transfiguration, Rev Father Robert C. Hall. Private burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
