Mary Jane Kemp

Kemp – Mary Jane, 79, East Taylor Township, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born on September 18, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of George and Susan (Vinisky) Sedlak. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; daughter, Jacqueline; siblings, Anna Hagens, Mildred Garretson, Ruth Sedlak, George Jr. Mary Jane was a 1955 graduate of Johnstown High School. She retired from the former Swank Refactory where she was employed as a dispatcher. Mary Jane enjoyed word searches, gardening, shopping, being around children, and was very proud of her Slovak heritage and cherished its traditions, culture, food and music. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, Conemaugh, with the Pastor James Gay officiating. Private burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
