Mary Jean Gossard

Gossard, Mary Jean “Jeanie”, 86, of Belmont, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2011 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born on October 21, 1925 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Goughnour) Klucker. Also preceded in death by husband, Richard; sister, Janet and brothers, Donald and Joseph; and son- in-law, Robert Ramos. Survived by children; Donald R., married to the former Connie Flook, Johnstown and daughter, Tamra J. Ramos, Johnstown; grandson, Michael T. Gossard married to former Amanda Whitley, Schuylkill Haven, PA; brother, James Klucker, Santa Maria, CA; brother-in-law, Samuel Gossard, Johnstown; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Stonebraker, Newark, DE and Connie Klucker, Paso Robles, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and many friends. Jeanie was a 1943 graduate of Johnstown High School and active on the reunion committee. She was one of the original members of the Johnstown Choraleers and sang in many choral competitions. Jeanie was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Johnstown and was a member of the choir for over 60 years. She served as children’s choir director, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Okinega Class. Jeanie was at home in the church kitchen, cooking and serving many church dinners. Friends received from 3-8 PM on Friday at the Harris Funeral Home 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and from 10 A.M. until time of service at 11 A.M. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 436 Vine Street, Johnstown, with the Rev. Larry Rowe officiating. Interment will be at Richland Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 436 Vine Street, Johnstown, PA 15901.
