Mary Ellen Ball

Ball, Mary Ellen, 93, Columbus Ohio, formerly of Johnstown. Died April 12, 2011, in Columbus.  Born Aug. 5, 1917, in Johnstown.  Daughter of the late James  Webster and Edith (Hammerle) Seigh. Also preceded in death by husbands, Charles Gindlesperger in Dec. 1953 and Walter Ball in 2005; Brother, James William Seigh and two brother-in-laws, Frank Erb and James Pennell. Survived by son, Donald Gindlesperger, married to the former Patricia (Sirokman), of Powell, Ohio; Granddaughters, Stacey Nutini, Las Vegas, NV; and Dr. Brianne Gindlesperger, Southern Pines, NC. Sister of Jean Erb, Windber; Nancy Pennell, Everett; Pa.; Charles and Wife, Dorothy, Richland; and Richard and wife Irene, Geistown. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown.  Mary Ellen moved in 2009 to Columbus to be closer to her son and greatly enjoyed living at Claremont Retirement Village where she enjoyed friends and activities. She  was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, where Vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Saturday at St. Benedict Church. Fr. David S. Peles, Pastor. Committal at Grandview Cemetery.
