Marlin K. Kinzey

Kinzey, Marlin K., 95, of Richland. Went to be with the Lord on Mar. 30, 2017, at Laurel View Village. Born May 4, 1921, in Johnstown. Son of the late J. Henry and Lavada (Allison) Kinzey. Also, preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Karl. Survived by wife of 60 years, Catherine M. (Nileski); Son Marlin K. Jr. “The Apple of his Eye” married to Anne (Stalinski) of Philadelphia, PA; devoted grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Kinzey of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Ruthanna (Kinzey) Belle, Dania, FL; and beloved by many nieces and nephews. Marlin was a 1939 graduate of Richland High School and retired from W.C. McQuaide Freight Lines as a truck driver. A long- time member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.  He was a WW II Army Veteran serving from July 13, 1942 thru Dec. 23, 1945, in Central Europe fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and going thru France, Germany, Belgium and Austria.  Marlin received a Unit Citation, 3 Bronze Stars and Good Conduct and Victory Medals. Friends received from 9:30 AM to time of Service at 11 AM Tuesday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Services conducted by Rev. Scott Klimke, Pastor and Rev. Jeffrey Bassette, Chaplain at Laurel View. Interment at Richland Cemetery with military rites by Menoher Post # 155 VFW Ritual Team. Family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland.
